A final reflection on educational technology, design, teamwork, and teaching practice.
Overall, this course was a meaningful learning experience. It helped me understand educational technology from a wider perspective.
Through the course activities, I learned that educational technology is not only about digital platforms. It can also include physical materials, 3D-printed products, and hands-on learning experiences.
The visits to Petrosains and Makerspace @ UM helped prepare me for the final Gallery Walk. Petrosains helped me analyse educational materials critically, while Makerspace @ UM helped me understand how 3D design and printing can support instructional material development.
Through the Gallery Walk and Learning Gear project, I learned that technology can be digital or physical. What matters most is how it helps students learn.
Another meaningful part of the course was my group’s responsibility as the media team for the Gallery Walk. We created the event website, grits2026.com, took photos and videos, and designed and printed promotional materials. This experience helped me understand that educational technology is also about communication, documentation, design, and sharing learning outcomes with a wider audience.
Prof. Dr. Farrah Dina Yusop’s guidance, my group’s teamwork, and the ideas from other groups helped me grow as a learner and as a teacher.
Moving forward, I want to continue applying what I learned in my own classroom. This course reminded me that teaching is not only about delivering content. It is also about designing meaningful learning experiences for students.
